Demetrios Christofidis ()

Mr. Christofidis graduated in1974 at Universidade de Brasilia, did his MSc Irrigation Engineering in Southampton(UK), in 1987, followed by his PhD in Water Resources Policy in Brazil ( 2001). He is a dynamic member of the GWA and professor of Cap-Net courses. Mr. Christofidis has more than 10 years of professional experience at the Water Resources Sector, in planning and management for agriculture and environmental development. He teaches at the University of Brasilia since 25 years. Some of the topics are: sustainable development, agriculture, water supply and sanitation, urban and rural drainage. Committed to gender and water resources management in Northeast Brazil, he is respected at all levels.
