E-Conferences

The Gender and Water Alliance convened a serie of e-conferences in January-September 2002. This e-conference series on Successes and Failures in Gender Mainstreaming in Integrated Water Resources Management aimed to collect, share and analyse information on the successes and failures in the practice of mainstreaming gender in order to make recommendations for improving practice.

In 2005 an e-conference was held titled "Gender Mainstreaming in Water Management for Agriculture". The questions "why" and "what has to be done" were discussed to come to a minimum agenda for gender mainstreaming in water management for agriculture.

As both series were very successfull, GWA has planned to convene more e-conferences during the timeframe of the Strategic Plan 2005-2010.
