Hycinth is an Agricultural Engineer with expertise in Soil and Water conservation. He holds a MSc degree in Environmental Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark.

Since January 2006, he has been working as an Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) expert, for the Global Water Partnership in Cameroon, in the function of Programme Manager for the second Partnership for Africas Water Development program. He has helped establish the Cameroon Water Partnership as a neutral multistakeholder platform for water sector actors, and has been at the centre of the national IWRM planning process in Cameroon.

Hycinth Banseka joined the Steering Committee of GWA in 2009 as a representative of Francophone Africa, and is presently the treasurer of the Steering Committee.
